The Whyte Ridge Community Centre is looking for youth volunteers that live in the Whyte Ridge Area to help form a junior Board.
The purpose of the Community Centre is to be a place where people can meet for fun sports and recreation activities – mainly for the children in our Community. To be successful, this means we need good ideas for fun events, we need leadership to help plan and run them, and we need to tell people about them. Instead of parents planning for youth, we thought maybe we should have youth planning for youth.
If you’re 17 and under and would like to be part of, and give back to your community, please join some of the Whyte Ridge board members on Monday, Nov. 6th at 7:00PM at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre for more information.
Proposed activities of the Junior board include:
- Provide input on community center initiatives
- Plan and run an annual fun event for Whyte Ridge
- Help raise awareness of all the great programs and activities going on at WRCC
- Contribute to community based articles in our online and printed newsletter
This is a great opportunity to get involved in your community, earn great experience and have fun while doing it.
Come on out and make a difference!
