Camps at Whyte Ridge

Summer 2018

Mad Science Camps

At Whyteridge CC  July 17-21 and Aug 28-Sept 1

The world’s leader in science enrichment programming will be holding two separate week-long science camps throughout the summer.  Dates and locations for a camp convenient to you can be found on our website.  Camps are Monday to Friday 9AM to 4PM with free early drop off and optional late pickups available.  To register on line or for additional information please go to our website:

Crazy Chemworks

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes. As a bonus, each camper will receive enough ‘take-homes’ throughout the week to start your own lab at home after the camp is over and will know how to handle each instrument!!

Secret Agent Lab

Look out 007—the Mad Science spy academy is in session! From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, children will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and even create their own edible messages! They will use the Secret Code Breaker to communicate in code, like real spies. With the Undercover Observer, children step into the shoes of spies in action. What looks like an ordinary camera is actually a sneaky surveillance device that lets children spy on the side.

RDT Mini Soccer League is famous in Winnipeg for its effective soccer programs which focus on teaching and practicing skills in a logical progression and then having players work with these skills during games. Their website notes that it is “Winnipeg’s 1st and best mini soccer league and developmental program for 4-11 year olds who want to improve their soccer skills in a fun, safe, and friendly learning environment.  (est.1994)”

The camps will take place on our community centre soccer fields and basketball court. The camp will also have use of the community centre building as needed.
