It was an incredibly hot but beautiful Sunday with great fun had by all! I would like to give a special Thank You to all of the volunteers who helped plan and organize this event, Erin, Curtis, Doug, Adam, Jasnoor, Lexee, Arpita, Evelyn, Danica, Aymee, along with the generosity of our sponsors. It is with each and everyone of one of you support whether monetary or time that helps make these events possible.
Mark your calendar and get out your cheque book, because you won’t want to miss this event! Oh, and don’t forget to invite those wine loving friends of yours.
If you like wine, food, wine, music, wine, friends, and wine, you were probably at last year’s event. It was so much fun, that by popular demand, Pembina Active Living (55+) (PAL) decided to do it again.
So, if you weren’t at last year’s event, you are probably wondering what you can expect. How about a lovely setting, with stations sprinkled around offering assorted wines that have been paired with appetizers and desserts. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages and vegetarian choices. Add a local band that may entice you to get up and boogie if you can tear yourself away from the meet and mingle crowd. Oh, and you know a PAL event wouldn’t be complete without some great prizes. There is nothing like wine to get everyone in a party mood and really get to know each other!
The Henry G. Izatt Middle School team is excitedly preparing for the 2017-2018 school year. Working as a community and with our community are priorities for us. We align our authentic programs and projects with our pillars of “Humanity, Growth, Innovation and Sustainability”. Positive relationships with our students is critically important. Our students initiate global citizenship projects and are able to participate in an area of their passion. In the spring, after successful application for a number grants for the HGI community garden project and an established work crew comprised of students and staff, the HGI gardens were completed.
