Well, another year has come and gone. I hope you had a great 2019, and will have an even better 2020.
We’ve got some exciting projects coming up this year at your Community Centre. After a successful application for our renovation grant, we have 2 projects we will be completing this year. We will finally be getting air conditioning in the main foyer of the Community Centre, and if you’ve ever been there in the summer, you can attest to how hot that area gets. We will also be getting new energy efficient lighting throughout the Centre replacing the old fluorescent lighting with new LED lighting. Finally, we will finally be getting the MPR room painted, and if you’ve been there, you’ll know that it needs it.
I would also like to give a big shout out to Kim O’Hara for organizing another successful Winter Carnival. Kim is not on the board, but for many years, she has stepped up to help ensure we have volunteers to help out, as well as various activities for the families attending. Thank you Kim!
