Whyte Ridge Soccer Needs You!

Although it may seem early, we are looking for Directors to oversee the 2022 Outdoor Spring soccer program and the 2022 Fall Indoor soccer program.  Without new volunteers, our programs may not run so if you are interested, please contact soccer@whyteridge.ca or president@whyteridge.ca

Soccer Director

Do you love soccer?  Or do your kids love soccer?  Do you want to do a little more while you coach, or maybe get involved without coaching?  The Whyte Ridge Community Centre is looking for a Soccer Director.  The soccer director is responsible for overseeing the soccer program with a group of dedicated volunteers.   Director reports to the Board of Directors and works with the Treasurer closely to manage budget, registrations and program expenses. Must have good organization skills and computer skills. Requires approximately 2-3 hours on average per week depending on the season.  Must live in Linden Ridge or Whyte Ridge and be a minimum of 18 years old.  Minimum 1-year term required.

Mini Soccer Director

The Mini Soccer Director leads volunteer conveners to organize teams once registrations are taken.  Working with their volunteer team, the Mini-Soccer Director ensures coaches receive equipment and gear.  Must have good organization skills and computer skills. Requires approximately 2-3 hours on average per week depending on the season.  Must be a minimum of 18 years old.  Minimum 1-year term required.

Canteen Director/Manager

The Canteen Director/Manager manages the functions of canteen operations. With assistance from the President, the Director/Manager recruits volunteer staff and is responsible for the training of volunteers.  The Director/Manager maintains an inventory of the canteen and lets General Manager know what to order.

 

The Ice Rink needs 2 h of your time.

The Whyte Ridge Community Centre is looking for community members to help replace boards in our west hockey rink.  No skills are needed, but if you have them and are comfortable with saws and other tools, we’d greatly appreciate your experience.  We plan to meet at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre on Saturday, September 18 between 10-3.  Please sign up for a single time slot or multiple at https://signup.com/go/kPYdate or simply email your availability to president@whyteridge.ca.  Please bring your own tools (hammer, saw, pry bar, impact drivers or screw gun) as we have a limited number of tools at the center.  We will supply wood and screws etc.
