Hello Whyte Ridge and Linden Ridge,
Spring is just around the corner and after all the snow this past year, we might be ready for some warmer weather! However, winter was a busy time at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre. We were able to open our centre up so that skaters had a warm place to put on their skates and WINTERPEG brought their Mobile Ski Library to the centre!
Having applied for a Renovation Grant, the WRCC was fortunate enough to be awarded the funds to repair the stucco and parging around the building, a new exterior paint job, and extending fencing around both rinks. Come on by to see the changes taking place. The WRCC also applied for various grants to repair player boxes and update the interior of our facility. We will keep everyone updated!
Our AGM is taking place on April 11, 2022 at 7pm. It’s a virtual meeting so you can join in from anywhere and we would really appreciate community members joining us. You will be able to hear about what has taken place at the Centre over the past year, and if you are interested, join our volunteer team as a Director. We have several positions available and we offer training, guidance, and you can even switch roles!
Looking ahead to summer, the Whyte Ridge Community Centre is excited to be offering a variety of summer camps including WRCC camps, RDT soccer camps, MadScience and an eSport Camp. Please check out this section for registration information.
WRCC Board meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Monday of every month beginning at 7pm and we invite all community members to attend with ideas for our centre or concerns.
