Sport & Recreation Summer Camps for Kids – ages 6 -12
The Whyte Ridge Community Centre is excited to offer summer camps for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Camps will run for the following weeks from Monday to Friday, from 9 am-4 pm with before and aftercare (drop off as early as 8 am, pick up as late as 5 pm). The camps will offer a variety of activities including sports, games, arts, crafts, science experiments and culinary arts. Costs are $140/week except for the holiday week (Aug 2-5, $110)
Week 1: July 4 – 8, 2022 Theme: Holidays in July
Week 2: July 11-15, 2022 Theme: Amazing Race
Week 3: July 25-29, 2022 Theme: Journey Across Canada
Week 4: Aug 2 – 5, 2022 (Short week, $110/week) Theme: A Galaxy Far, Far Away

ESport Camp (July 18-22, 2022)
Attention all Esports Enthusiasts! Manitoba Esports Association and Whyte Ridge Community Centre have teamed up to bring you Manitoba’s 1st ever Esports Summer Camp! Campers will enjoy a week-long schedule of exploring console game titles such as Super Smash Bros, Minecraft, Rocket League, Fortnite and more! Campers will also have the chance to try Virtual Reality instructed by certified staff. Esports campers will be guided through video game drills and strategies in a fun and competitive environment. To promote health and wellness, campers will also enjoy a half day of outdoor physical education. You don’t want to miss it!
Camp Highlights:
- Personal take-home evaluation of initial skill assessment
- Introduction to Virtual Reality Space
- Focused on in-game skill-development and physical/mental training
Added Bonuses:
- Each camper will have the chance to win prizes through various challenges throughout the week
- Each camper will receive an end of week Champions Box which included mini-prizes and certificate of participation

RDT – Soccer Camp (August 8 – 12, 2022 and August 22 – 26, 2022)
RDT will be running two weeks of full day soccer camps for the summer of 2022. The two weeks are:
- August 8 – 12, 2022 (ages 7-9)
- August 22 – 26, 2022 (ages 9-12)
Send your child to Whyteridge Community Centre this Summer to play sports and learn in a fun, safe, and friendly learning environment. The goal is for children to improve their skills both technically and tactically as well as to build their confidence. We will focus not just on learning the skills of the game but also on developing the fundamental motor skills required for these young athletes to excel in sport.
This 5 day program takes place from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Early drop off will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. with late pick up until 5:00 p.m.

Mad Science: Extreme Science Camp (August 15-19, 2022)
Here at Mad Science we’re looking forward to bringing back our original Science camp. This is the camp that made summer an exciting time for our budding Mad Scientists. Each day has its own theme from Heat (with a humongous solar balloon to solar ovens to cotton candy) to Ice (of course Dry Ice and to top it off we make ice cream without a machine!) and Bugs; join us on a bug safari and the campers design a bug habitat. And on the final day we have a spectacular rocket launch…parents welcome. In addition, each camper will make his/her own rocket to take home and launch! (Under supervision, of course.) Recommended for children 6-12 years old.
