Hello, Soccer Fans.
Our team is working tirelessly on planning the upcoming season. Registration for our Spring Outdoor Soccer Season will be open on March 1 until March 22. After March 22 players will be placed on the waitlist and will be placed on a team based on availability.
We have a few updates to share with you.
- We are very excited to announce that we will be offering an Expanded Youth Soccer Program (ages U9-18) that is available to the residents of Whyte Ridge, Linden Ridge, Linden Woods, and the Fort Garry area. This is done in partnership with the Linden Woods community to help with the volunteer shortage and increasing cost of running soccer programs. - WYSA has implemented a New Playoff Format for ages U13-U18 and games will happen throughout July, similar to developmental and premier programs. Read the full release here Playoff format update.
- We are also looking for more Volunteers to join our growing team. We are looking for an equipment manager and convener for our U9-U18 boys’ soccer teams as well as conveners for our Mini Soccer teams. We are also looking for team coaches and assistant coaches. Please check our page Requirements for coaches and assistant coaches for more information. We are here to support you in your volunteer role, so please reach out to soccerteam@whyteridge.ca if you have any questions.
- We want to eliminate financial barriers for the families of Whyte Ridge so this year we are offering a Subsidy for families in need. If you have multiple children registering for our soccer program, the first child will be full price and we will offer a subsidy for any siblings. If this applies to you please reach out to soccerteam@whyteridge.ca.
