Hello Whyte Ridge and Linden Ridge,
Spring is coming soon! We had some fantastic winter weather and hope the spring cooperates too. The Community Centre was a busy place this winter with two outdoor ice rinks open, and a pleasure rink at the back of our centre, right beside the sled shute.
Our Winter Carnival was a huge success as was our inaugural Quiz Night. Check out the trophy at the centre! Thank you to our sponsors and volunteers who made these events possible.
Our AGM is taking place on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 7pm. It’s a hybrid meeting so you can join in virtually from anywhere or come on down to the centre. We would really appreciate community members joining us. In order to have this meeting, we need community members to be present. You will be able to hear about what has taken place at the Centre over the past year, and if you are interested, join our volunteer team as a Director. We have several positions available and we offer training, guidance, and you can even switch roles!
We will have a variety of spring programs including Zumba for adults, so make sure to check out this section of The Ridge. Don’t forget to register for spring basketball and soccer!
Looking ahead to summer, the Whyte Ridge Community Centre is excited to be offering a variety of summer camps including WRCC camps, RDT soccer camps, and MadScience. Please check out this section for registration information.
WRCC Board meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Monday of every month beginning at 7pm and we invite all community members to attend with ideas for our centre or concerns.
