Kim O’Hara has received Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee award and was nominated by Obby Khan, MLA forFort Whyte. Her contributions of time, creativity and effort at the Whyte Ridge Community Centre are outstanding – from organizing programs to writing grants to overseeing all kinds of renovations and even a spray pad installation. Her commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of Whyte Ridge and the surrounding neighborhoods is so very appreciated.
Dr. Sandra Sukhan has been awarded with Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee award and was nominated by the premier of Manitoba. Sandra volunteers on many different projects in the community including establishment of a permanent office and programming space for Pembina Active Living 55-plus in the Whyte Ridge Community Centre. Her passion for older adults and cultural diversity has positioned Pembina Active Living for much future success!
Shahin Shooshtari is a recipient of an MP Terry Duguid Platinum Jubilee Community Leadership Award for the meaningful contributions she has made to the community of Winnipeg South.
