Spring Programming Is Here!

The sun is getting brighter and the days are getting longer.  Not only do we start to think about warmer days, but also to Spring programming at Whyte Ridge Community Centre!

There are some favourites back for Spring and some new options as well.

For the kids, Basketball and Badminton are already open for registration and Soccer will be opening on Tuesday (February 24th).

The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) Community Centre League is a city-wide league where teams (ages 7 to 17) compete against other teams from different areas in the city. Badminton is delivered  in partnership with the Manitoba Badminton Association (MBA).  Youth sections for those ages 10 to 14 are open on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and programming for  those ages 14 to 17 is available Monday nights.  Visit https://whyteridge.ca/sports/badminton/ for more information and to register.

Registration for the Spring Outdoor Soccer is opening soon.  Our Mini Soccer program is for the little ones from ages 3 to 7.  More information and registration information is available at https://whyteridge.ca/sports/soccer/mini-soccer/.

Changes are coming for Youth Outdoor Soccer as the Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) implement the new Grassroots Soccer program for players from ages 8 to 10 this year.  Information on the changes can be found at https://whyteridge.ca/changes-for-2026/.  Information on how to register can be found at  https://whyteridge.ca/sports/soccer/youth-outdoor-soccer/.

Your favorite adult fitness classes are back for Spring as well, including Essential Pilates, Line Dancing, Salsa and Bachata, Barre and Restorative Yoga.    Look out for the Wilderness Hike and Skills program as well.  More information and links to registration are available at https://whyteridge.ca/activities/classes/.

A number of select classes and workshops in our Fitness and Wellness programming are eligible for 10% Early Bird discounts until March 13th.  As an added bonus for those that sign up for one of our Fitness classes  and refers someone new to join the class, you will receive a $10 voucher towards a future class registration.

The community centre offers drop in activities that will be available during the week, including English as a Second Language (ESL) Conversation Circle (free) and others occasional events.  More details are available at https://whyteridge.ca/adult-day-programming/.

If you are a crafty person, join us to create a book bouquet as we host Rita Nayar.   We are also hosting two demo fitness classes – Functional Fitness and Strength & Resistance.  To register for these classes visit https://whyteridge.ca/events/.

Whyte Ridge Community Centre has also been working hard to plan our Summer Camps for kids between the ages of 5 and 12. The camps will run for the following weeks from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM-4 PM.
