Be part of one of the fastest growing team sports in Canada – Ultimate. This is a low-cost, accessible sport with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship and fairplay. Ultimate Frisbee, often just called “Ultimate,” is a non-contact team sport played with a disc (frisbee). Think of it as a mix between football, soccer, and basketball, but with a flying disc!
Join us this summer as Corydon, Lindenwoods, Riverview, and Whyte Ridge establish the first community centre-based recreational league in Winnipeg. We are partnering with the Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (MODS) to deliver this program and invite you to visit their website to learn more about the game.
This program will be delivered in a Co-Ed model and targets kids from 11 to 14 years of age. Commitment is one evening per week with game nights on Tuesdays (with practice scheduled before the game).
Date: Starting June 24, 2025 (10 week duration)
Location: At participating Community Centre fields
Cost: $95 (plus $15 membership fee paid directly to MODS)
For more information, contact programming@whyteridge.ca.
