Badminton

Welcome to the Whyte Ridge Badminton program.

Our badminton program for young players and adults who want to learn basic skills of the game and to improve what they already know.

The program is offered by Honesto Navarro, a certified coach with many years of experience in various programs offered by the Manitoba Badminton Association and the City of Winnipeg Leisure Guide.

The program is operated via Whyte Ridge community centre in partnership with Pembina Trails school division in the nearby school gyms.

Program format

Requirements: player must bring their own indoor shoes, sports clothes and badminton racket.

Fall 2022

Youth program: 10 – 12 players per session, ages 10 – 14

  • Classes: Tuesdays, September 27 – December 13 (11 classes, no class on October 25)
  • Location: gym at Ralph Maybank school (Fort Garry), 20 Donnelly St, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0S4
  • Time: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Cost: $ 100

Adult program: 10 – 12 players per session, ages 14+. Parents are welcome to join their children in the class.

  • Classes: Mondays, September 26 – December 12, (11 classes, no class on October 10).
  • Location: gym at Pacific Junction school (Charleswood), 715 Cathcart St, Winnipeg, MB R3R 2M7
  • Time: 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm
  • Cost: $ 100

Winter 2023

Youth program: 10 – 12 players per session, ages 10 – 14

Adult program: 10 – 12 players per session, ages 14+. Parents are welcome to join their children in the class.

Registration

By proceeding with the registration you are agreeing to Whyte Ridge Community Centre Terms and Conditions.

To register, please select corresponding registration for each class or browse all open registration on the Badminton events page.

Payments

Payments can be made online via credit card or offline (cheque or e-transfer) by selecting Invoice during the registration.

1. E-transfers

Please sign in to your online banking system and select INTERAC* payments/money transfers. Use payment@whyteridge.ca as payee and include the payment amount for the registration.

  • Please add program name AND the player name(s) in the notes section.

2. Cheques

Cheques payable to WHYTE RIDGE COMMUNITY CENTRE can be dropped off in the Community Centre, 170 Fleetwood Road, Winnipeg, R3Y 1R3. If you must pay by cash, please email Whyte Ridge treasurer at treasurer@whyteridge.ca to make arrangements for in-person payment and receipt.

    • Please add program name AND the player name(s) in the cheque.

No refunds will be issues after the 2nd class.
