FREE Accessible Outdoor Fitness Classes 2021

WHERE: Whyte Ridge Community Centre – 170 Fleetwood Road
WHEN: 6:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday and Fridays
August 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27
September 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24
Classes are a Drop-in Format – space is limited so please come on time.
Please bring water, comfortable clothes to workout in, and be prepared for the weather.

About our Accessible Fitness Park:

Goals of this program:
  1. To provide a novel, safe, physically distanced fitness class alternative to gyms and indoor fitness spaces.
  2. To promote physical literacy to a broader section of the population and improve access to fun, safe fitness opportunities for all.
  3. To promote awareness of our Fitness park facility with it’s accessibility features.
  4. To motivate our residents to learn about alternate fitness opportunities such as calisthenics, bodyweight training and street workout and the benefits they bring to physical and mental well being.

For Your Safety, Participants must provide a signed, completed copy of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q+) prior to starting classes (see registration link above)
