Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)

Rental of the Community Centre multi-purpose room is available for all types of group events, including but not limited to wedding receptions, meetings, reunions & birthday parties.

Room Capacity: 96 people

Room Size:

  • width: 8.5 m (27.5 ft)
  • length: 12.6 m (41 ft)
  • height: 3-4.5 m (10-15 ft)

Rental Fees: Per hour for the total time the community centre is used. Rates are subject to an annual increase.

$42 – no liquor (no liquor on site).

$42 – no-sale permit if you are serving drinks to guests at no cost (must have designated servers).

$80 – Sale – Individual Permit, selling drinks ie cash bar (this includes provision of a bartender).

Damage Deposit: A separate damage deposit e-Transfer or cheque of $150.00 have to be received prior to the confirmation of the hall booking.

All cheques are to be made out to Whyte Ridge Community Centre. An email outlining the confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you upon receiving the 3 components (contract, rental fee and damage deposit cheques) required to make the booking and to let you know when and where to pick up the keys for your rental date.

There is no confirmation of the MPR reservation without receiving these 3 components of the rental process:

  1. A signed rental contract.
  2. An e-transfer or cheque for the rental fee paid in full.
  3. An e-transfer or cheque for the damage deposit paid in full.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You MUST be at least 18 years of age to book the Community Centre.
  • You will be required to sign a Hall Rental Agreement outlining your responsibilities.

Amenities: 

  • There are twenty (20) 8 – foot tables and 94 chairs
  • There is a kitchen area with a microwave and stove that can be used for warming food.
  • There is a 42 cup coffee urn that can be used, but you need to supply your own coffee and cups and accessories .
  • There is a kettle that can be used, but you need to supply your own cups, tea and accessories.
  • You can only serve and/or sell alcohol with a permit – LGCA Occasional Alcohol Permit information can be found HERE, if you are selling alcohol a bartender is provided by the community centre.
  • All music must stop by 12:00 am.
  • Basketball courts and skating rinks are available at an extra charge during specific hours. Please check their availability before making a reservation
