Winter registration now open!

Program

The Winter Community Youth Volleyball Program runs for 12 weeks, starting in mid January through early April.  Sessions will be once a week for 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U, with premade plans created by Volleyball Manitoba. This program is designed for new and returning Community Youth participants and each session will have allotted time at the end to practice new skills in game-like settings. The the 10U and 12U programs will be co-ed. The 14U and 16U programs will be registered into separate girls and boys sections.  If enrollment levels require that the sections become co-ed, coaches will ensure safety and fairness for all players. 16U groups will be following the Winnipeg Co-ed League rules during gameplay which state that boys must hit from behind the 3-meter line and 2 boys cannot double block a girl while attacking.

The Volley Blast tournament will take place at the end of the program to wrap up the Winter season for 12U, 14U, and 16U. The program will be utilizing the RAMP Team application for all program communication this year.  An invitation and instructions will be sent from Whyte Ridge Community Centre once registration has closed.

Coaching

The Community Youth Volleyball Program relies on parents, guardians, and community members to provide this opportunity for children to participate. There is no previous experience needed to be a coach for this program. Volleyball Manitoba is dedicated to assisting those who are interested in fulfilling this role. Coaches will receive a manual containing weekly objectives and practice plans, skill descriptions, and drill examples. Coaches will also receive Volleyball Manitoba gear and an honorarium for their time and efforts dedicated to this program.   • Time: Thursdays 6:15 pm-7:15 pm

  • Location: Dalhousie School (262 Dalhousie Dr.)

14U Program – Girls

  • Ages: 13-14, Born 2011 and 2012
  • Time: Wednesdays 8:15 pm-9:45 pm
  • Dates: January 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 8 (No session April 1)

Registration

To enter the registration system please select the Register Now button at the bottom of this page.  You will be asked to create accounts for each child (or children) and yourself as parent or guardian.  Please select the corresponding registration package for your child.  Registration is not considered complete until payment has been made.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the WRCC Program Manager at programming@whyteridge.ca.

Payments

Payments can be made online via credit card or offline (e-transfer or cheque) by selecting Invoice during registration. 1. E-transfers Please sign in to your online banking system and select INTERAC* payments/money transfers. Use payment@whyteridge.ca as payee and include the payment amount for the registration.

  • Please add program name AND the player name(s) in the notes section.

2. Cheques Cheques payable to WHYTE RIDGE COMMUNITY CENTRE can be dropped off in the Community Centre, 170 Fleetwood Road, Winnipeg, R3Y 1R3. Please email the Whyte Ridge treasurer at treasurer@whyteridge.ca, to make arrangements for in-person payment and receipt.

Whyte Ridge Community Volleyball Cancellation and Refund Policy

If a program is cancelled a refund or credit to your registration will be provided.

  • Refunds 14 or more days prior to the program start date: A full refund (less $15.00 administration fee)
  • Refunds 7 to 13 days prior to the program start date: A 50% refund will be issued.
  • Refunds less than 7 days prior to the program start date or after the program has started: No refund will be issued
