MPI in partnership with Whyte Ridge Community Center presents a FREE Cycle Safety Bike Rodeo. MPI will kick off the Bike Rodeo with an introductory level review of road safety for young cyclists, including proper helmet fitting and basic bike maintenance. After the presentation, the children will head outside to get a chance to practice their cycling skills on a mock-road course.
The course will require basic starting, stopping, and turning abilities. Participants are encouraged to practice using their hand signals. Please ensure your child comes prepared with their bike and helmet, and proper footwear for cycling (no sandals or flip flops).
For those who may find the course too challenging, we encourage them to join us anyway! They can walk through the course and practice using hand signals and follow the street signs, or be a pedestrian.
All participants require a signed waiver to participate. The Bike Rodeo – Waiver of Liability can be downloaded to complete here.
